Volunteer at St. Josephs
Dear St. Joseph Families,
As a Catholic school community, we are called to live out our faith through service. One of the ways we build that community is by asking each K-8th grade family to contribute 20 volunteer hours during the school year and 5 hours of service annually for our Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten families.
Your time and talents help enrich the experience for all students—whether you're supporting classroom activities, helping at events, or lending a hand behind the scenes, your presence makes a difference.
Why Volunteer?
- Faith in Action – Show your child the importance of giving back.
- Build Community – Meet fellow families and form lasting relationships.
- Support Our Mission – Your involvement strengthens every part of our school.
Ways to Volunteer
Here are just a few opportunities to get involved:
- Classroom Help – Assist teachers with materials or activities
- Lunch & Recess Duty
- School Events – Help with House Challenges, Field Day, or Catholic Schools Week
- Fundraising Committees
- Parish/Church Events in partnership with the school
- Library Support – Shelving, reading to students
- Athletics – Coaching, concessions, or event setup
- Campus Beautification – Gardening or minor repairs
Don't see something that fits? Reach out—we’ll help match your skills and schedule.
Work full-time and have limited time off? No problem, we will send tasks or prep work that can be done at home.
Tracking Hours
Please log your hours through by completing the Google Form to avoid additional fees. Families are encouraged to complete their service hours by May 31st.
If you have any questions or need help getting started, contact, please email Misha.mercurio@stjosepherie.com.
Thank you for partnering with us in forming faith-filled, service-minded students. Together, we create a vibrant, Christ-centered school community.
