6th Grade

Welcome!

My name is Kimberly Kinnie and this is my seventh year teaching at St. Joe's and I have absolutely loved every minute of the adventure. This is my seventh year teaching Science to 5-8 grades and my third year with a split 5/6 homeroom.  My passion is Science, which really shows when you walk by my room.  I really enjoy taking the sixth graders to camp and in past years the Mission to Mars with the Lake Erie Challenger Center.

    I received my Bachelor’s degree from The University of Toledo in Middle School Education with a concentration in Math and Science.  I have also completed several extra hours at Owens Community College. From the state of Michigan I have a license to teach Science to grades 5-9 and in Ohio I have a license to teach grades 4-9 Math and Science.

   I live in Toledo, Ohio with my two children Mackenzie and Logan as well as several fish.  Mackenzie is a sophomore at Cardinal Stritch and is involved in Soccer, Basketball, Softball, chess club, Student Council, and Homecoming Committee.  Logan is in fourth grade at Regina Coeli and is involved in Soccer and Basketball. 

   I love teaching and I cannot wait to see what this year's adventure brings!
